New Jewish Poetry and Criticism

Thursday, March 20, 2003
7:30 PM
Makor, 35 West 67th Street
New York City

Join the editors of Zeek Magazine for a night of poetry, thought, and criticism, celebrating the first anniversary of Zeek, A Jewish Journal of Thought and Culture. Participants include Hal Sirowitz, the poet laureate of Queens; Abraham Mezrich, who has been called "a misnagdic Kahlil Gibran"; and Matthue Roth, an Orthodox performance poet who is appearing this Spring in the Def Jam on Broadway poetry series and whose most recent book is called "Yom Kippur A-Go-Go."

Signed copies of Zeek's first print volume will be on sale, at a discounted price. Please join us as we celebrate the many Zeek contributors and friends who are helping to reinvent Jewish creative expression, speedily, in our days.
